We are all experienced with many combined years of clinical experience so there really isn’t much we haven’t seen – if you are one of those who make us scratch our heads then we can refer you to other specialists including orthopaedic surgeons, MRI units, GPS etc.
Education is key to your success. Using visual aids and videos we can show you what we think your issues are, why they happen and how to best manage them, There is nothing worse than leaving your appointment not knowing what is going on – stress free therapy!

Low back pain can be extremely debilitating - so much so that the core muscles and stability are directly affected and effectively turned off. This means stability of your lower back is weakened and you start to rely on the bigger muscles which compensate for this loss of stability. This leads to tightness and pain in other muscles and a further decrease in functional stability - guess what - pilates is the best way to regain this functional stability!
I just wanted to express my thanks and gratitude for helping with the problems I had with my elbow and arm. I never knew that tennis elbow could be so painful but your programme has been really beneficial for me. Thank you for the expert diagnosis, treatment and clear instructions on exercises which enabled me to also manage the problem myself. Emailing the exercises through to me was extremely useful. The difference at work is amazing, after just three sessions.
It is never ideal to tear a calf muscle a few weeks before trying to walk over 140 miles over 4 days, especially when you are in your late 40s. A quick online search around Newbury and I was fortunate enough to stumble across Tom, who, in 6 sessions, managed to repair my calf to such an extent that I managed to complete the challenge with no ill-effects. Shame I could not say the same for the blisters on my feet! Many thanks Tom.
In recent weeks Tom has helped me to get back to running after some fairly major issues with my lower back and hamstring. He persevered where others might have given up and has seen me back to full fitness. As a local Physiotherapist, his services are convenient and thorough, with a choice of venues and appointment times and I would certainly recommend him.
My 14 year old daughter is a competitive Aerobic gymnast who trains for around 16 hours every week. She has seen Tom on and off over the past few years with various injuries, the most recent being a problem with her knee which was preventing her from training. Tom was able to diagnose her injury where a hospital consultant had previously failed to and helped both in the referral to a second consultant and in subsequent rehabilitation . Tom provides links to clear pictorial explanations of any exercises suggested and is always happy to answer any questions you might have about treatment between appointments. With Tom's help, my daughter has been able to return quickly to the sport she loves and was recently delighted to find out that she had been selected for the GB National Squad this year
Our Consumer health division within Bayer has a strong focus on our employees’ health. We have a health initiative focused on this and as part of this we have a visit from Tom Rosier every week to provide Massage. We have great uptake on this and each employee pays for the service themselves at a reduced rate agreed by Tom. Tom offers either a 15 or 30 minute session which is great as doesn’t impact our working day. Tom has helped us out with a variety of issues ranging from sports injury, upper body issues from sitting at our desks to just a relaxing massage break. Feedback is great and Tom is working miracles!
Pilates is the perfect adjunct to physiotherapy - it is one of the best ways to improve your core stability, improve your performance and prevent injury. Your core muscles and spine are the centre of your body - instability in this area will lead to pain eventually
A few months ago I suffered from severe unprovoked pain in my shoulder. I met Tom and he conducted a very thorough and professional examination. He explained to me in details the anatomy of the shoulder joint. After that he created a personalised interactive program of exercises just for me. He continously followed up on my progress. On the following appointments he was changing and adapting my program accordingly. At the same time he was using different massage techniques and the pain gradually was fading out and the movements of my shoulder were improving significantly. Now the pain has disappeared completely. Tom is extremely professional, kind and caring. He has a wonderful sense of humour and always helped me to overcome my concerns. I consider myself extremely lucky to have met him and to have been treated by him. Should I ever need a physiotherapist again, Tom would be the first one to contact immediately. I got a very bad and uncomfortable ache all around the back of my neck and going along the top of my back..…which prevented me from sleeping well and was very painful when trying to move my neck or shoulders actually. Tom has been formidable firstly to listen to all my comments and understand exactly where the pain was located and how I might have done it to start with. He then relieved the pain in just a few intense sessions, with great professionalism, and also advice, trying to prevent or soothes if needed the pain if it happened again. I felt much better after just a few sessions and even after just the first day we met where the pain was gone already by the evening…I would strongly recommend Tom for his great expert advices but also the way he approaches the patient.
